if you only have a week you are wasting your money,you will not see much as australia is a very big country

first thing you need is about $40-$50 to buy yourself a copy of the lonely planet guide to australia
once you work out which part of australia you wish to spend your week in and what you would like to do while you are there it will be much easier to answer your question
